Basic Outreach Guidelines

1. We are officially representing Fairfax County CERT, so our performance and appearance must be maintained at the highest level. Dress code is compatible with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department standards: green CERT shirt, khaki, and closed toed shoes. Do not wear open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip-flops.

2. If a CERT volunteer was not previously issued a green Fairfax County CERT T-shirt, they will receive one from the IC at the event.

3. CERT volunteers do not need to bring PPE However, CERT may be asked to assist during medical emergencies or other evacuations.

4. No smoking is allowed
